杜兰特表示：“得分是比赛中最重要的事情，这也是我爱上篮球的原因。你看看3万分俱乐部的人，那都是伟大的球员，都是名人堂成员，他们打了足够长的时间……要拿到3万分，你必须要打很多年，我已经在这个联盟15年了，我会继续打下去的。”
杜兰特生涯常规赛总得分25526分，目前排在历史第21位。
